I first started teaching swim lessons at 16. At first I thought it would be just a fun summer job. I had no idea back then this would become my full time career. I taught swim lessons and coached swim team throughout high school and college. After graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Apparel Merchandising, I worked as an Assistant Manager at Nordstrom. I then started working as a Children’s Aquatics Coordinator. I worked there for seven years before purchasing Chicago Swim School with Rob. I am the mother of four children, Anthony, Maxwell, Isabella, and Cecelia. When I am not busy with my kids or working I enjoy doing crafts. I love scrap booking and doing projects I find on Pinterest. I also like doing small home improvement projects. Most people will also tell you that I almost always have a cup of coffee with me!

I have my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University. After graduating, I taught at the high school level for 3 years before moving to a pool management company where I was responsible for all lifeguard training and systems development. That company built an indoor pool for swim lessons and I then transitioned into the General Manager position where the program grew from 150 students per week to over 1100. I have also coached competitively for over 8 years before devoting all my time to teaching kids to swim. I reside in Chicago with my wife Kim, two kids, Ryne & Kira. In my free time I am an avid cyclist and skier.
