Renee Kessinger

Regional Leader

 Before becoming the Regional Leader at Chicago Swim School; Renee spent more than 10 years Coaching USA Swim Clubs, teaching swim lessons to people of all ages, and even acting as an Adjunct Faculty member at Robert Morris University.  Renee began swimming competitively at the age of 6, and her love for the water only grew from there!  Renee earned both her Bachelor’s (Biology) and Master’s Degrees (Kinesiology) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

In addition to her degrees, Renee is a USA Swimming Certified Swim Coach, a Level 3 ASCA Certified Swim Coach, and has obtained Personal Training Certifications from both ACE and ACSM.  Throughout her college career, Renee spent an abundance of time analyzing and publishing data involving Biomechanics of Human Movement, Body Composition, and Exercise and Cognition.  You may even find some of her research publications in the Journal of Clinical Densitometry! Renee enjoys spending her free time with her 2 1/2 year old daughter, camping, boating, reading, and playing board games! 

Ashley Simone
Mokena Facility Leader

Ashley started working at Chicago Swim School as Site Leader while also teaching at Washington McKinley School in Chicago Heights a couple years ago. Ashley is very happy to return to Chicago Swim School as our Facility Leader after being an Office Manager for several dental practices. Ashley is very passionate about teaching boh in and out of water  and making a difference by continuing to build close relationships with all families and staff. Ashley is extremely happy about being part of the Chicago Swim School Family helping create spectacular outcomes by creating memorable moments for our families.
 
Ashley is also an artist in her off time, painting murals and creating artwork to help spread joy to her community. She also enjoys reading, going to the gym, and going out to eat with her Mom, Dad, Husband and younger Brother. Ashley is an animal lover! She has two kittens, Stitch and Pistachio, and enjoys spending time with them every night. 
Kim Miedema 
Arlington Heights Facility Leader

Before coming to Chicago Swim School, Kim Miedema had been a manager for several retail locations, including Delia’s, Fossil, and Garage. Kim was a traveling manager for several companies, visiting different stores in many states to help unify teams and coach in customer experience. Upon realizing that her passion really lies in building relationships and providing customer support and care, she made the switch to Customer Support for the Arlington Heights location, where she has worked her way up to Facility Leader in two years. She is incredibly passionate about providing the best care she can to employees and families alike, and loves getting involved in helping build spectacular outcomes.

 

Kim is a giant nerd, and loves to play video games and read when she isn’t at work. She has a book collection of over one thousand, and has access to over one hundred video games. When she isn’t playing video games or reading, Kim likes to play tabletop games, and is an avid Dungeons and Dragons player! Kim lives in Chicago with her husband, Matt (also a gamer), and their cat, Diego (who just likes to chew on the pieces.)
