Our Programs

StarBaby

Our Starbaby Beginner level introduces parents and students between the ages of 4 months and 3 years old to the basics of swimming and water safety. We teach skills in a fun, song and game filled atmosphere so students feel comfortable and learn to enjoy the water in a safe way! 

White

This student is a beginner, probably a little nervous, and has little swimming experience. They will work on becoming more confident and relaxed in the water on their front and back, while aiming toward total body submersion.

Red

This student is able to submerge by themselves, with ease, for 5-10 seconds. They will work on air recovery skills, rollover breathing, and getting themselves back to the wall.

Pink

This student is able to float, with ease, on their front and back for 5-10 seconds. They will work at mastering rollover breathing and floating.

Yellow

This student is able to rollover and float independently 5-10 seconds. They will work at making forward movement on their front and back with increased efficiency.

Aqua

This student is able to swim, with ease, on their stomach at least 20 feet. They will work on developing side kicking and a beginning foundation for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Blue

This student is able to independently side kick on both sides with an efficient kick.  They will work at combining arm pulls with correct body position to create a proper technique foundation for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Green

This student is able to swim “Single-Switch” Freestyle and Backstroke at least 40ft with efficient technique. They will work at building endurance and develop a full Freestyle and Backstroke with good body position throughout the stroke.

Purple

This student is able to swim Freestyle and Backstroke, with good technique, for at least 60 feet. They will work at developing the foundation and stroke coordination for Butterfly and Breaststroke and increasing endurance for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Silver

This student is able to swim Freestyle and Backstroke, with good technique, for at least 50 yards and is has proper stroke coordination for Butterfly and Breaststroke.  They will work at building endurance for Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke as well as an introduction to additional competitive skills.

Black

This student is able to swim Freestyle and Backstroke, with good technique, for 75 yards, and is able to swim Butterfly and Breaststroke, with good technique, for at least 25 yards.  They will work on increasing stroke endurance culminating in swimming a 160 yard Individual Medley (40yds each of Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle)
